Brad Engel is the President of BEHG Properties, Inc. and has over 13 years of apartment management experience.  Brad bought his first rental apartment in Buffalo in 1995.  Brad grew up in Hamburg, NY and earned a Bachelor Science Finance degree from Canisius College in 1992, and received an MBA from St. Bonaventure University in 1995.  Brad is also a VP at GE Healthcare Finance as a Portfolio Manager & Underwriter.  Brad can be reached at brad@bufapt.com or by cell phone at

Russ Hiltermann

Chief Risk Officer & Co-Owner

Russ Hiltermann is the Chief Risk Officer and is in charge of Billings, Collections, Evictions and monitoring the Company’s e-mail account:  rentals@bufapt.com, which tenants use to report any issues and work order requests.  Russ Hiltermann also owns his own pizza company, “The Pizza Place”, located in California, which began operating in 1989.  Russ also owns rental property located in California.  Russ originally partnered up with Brad Engel in 2004 and is an owner of 17 properties in Buffalo, NY that he owns with Brad Engel.  Russ can be reached at the Company’s e-mail address:  rentals@bufapt.com, or russ.hiltermann@bufapt.com.

David Glover

Work Order Coordinator & Co-Owner

David Glover assists Shawn Engel in the generation of work order requests, scheduling, and tracking the completion of the work orders.  David also owns and manages as a sole proprietor, two rental properties in California and two additional properties in Texas.  In addition, David owns his own engineering electro-mechanical design consultant business.  Most of his customers are in the lighting industry, which is what David’s engineering background is in.

Co-Owner

Chris Byers lives in California and is a key grip in the entertainment industry, owns an equipment rental company and is also a producer.

Shawn Engel

Owner of Engel Properties / Management

Shawn Engel is the owner of Engel Properties/Management, whom BEHG Properties, Inc. has hired as the Management Company, to act on its behalf to complete apartment showings, lease signings, maintenance repairs and is responsible for work order requests.  Shawn has over 15 years of apartment maintenance and management experience, and lives locally in the Buffalo area.  Shawn can be reached at

Mike Kuhn

Maintenance Worker of Engel Properties / Management

Mike Kuhn is the primary maintenance employee of Engel Properties/Management.  Mike Kuhn has 15 years of maintenance experience and has been an employee of Engel Properties / Management since 2005.

Maintenance and repair work will only be completed via work-orders.  Verbal requests from tenants to our maintenance workers will not be completed.  All work-order requests are required to be either e-mailed to repairs@bufapt.com, or mailed to our rent payment address.
